    ‘Miss Vietnam Global Heritage 2016’

    For the first time, FLC Samson Beach & Golf Resort will hold Miss Vietnam Global Heritage beauty contest in July, 2016 with the top prize amounting to VND500 million (US$ 22,390) in cash. The runner up title will receives VND150 million and the second runner up title will receive VND100 million and a certificate. The contest final round will be taken placed from 1 to 7 July meanwhile the finale is scheduled for 15 July.

    FLC Samson Beach & Golf Resort, covering 450 hectares, is the largest golf course - resort - hotel complex in Thanh Hoa province, some around 180km away from Hanoi. The resort is designed with unique features for discerning travelers that featuring 72 intimate villas with own private swimming pools. All villas feature well-appointed modern interiors with separate living spaces and integrated kitchen-dining areas.     To mark Toyota Motor Vietnam’s 20th anniversary this year, Toyota Concert Tour, held jointly the automaker and the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra will be organized in four cites on five nights, at Hanoi’s Opera House on 5 and 6 August, Ho Chi Minh City’s Opera House (11 August), Da Nang’s Trung Vuong Opera House on 9 August, and Thanh Hoa’s Lam Son Opera House on 13 August. This is the first time that the Toyota Concert has been held in Thanh Hoa, to enhance the cultural and spiritual lives of the local community.

    Beside talented performers from the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, this year’s concert will feature conductor Tetsuji Honna, violinist Bui Cong Duy, saxophonist Tran Manh Tuan, and the winner of Vietnam Idol 2014, Nhat Thuy.

    In its 18 years the Toyota Concert Tour has presented 50 concerts and become a popular annual music event in Vietnam, appreciated by classical music lovers and promoting the genre in the country.

  • Thanh Hoa launches waterfall eco-tourism area

    A new eco-tourism complex at Cong Troi (Sky Gate) Waterfall in Xuan Quy and Hoa Quy communes in Nhu Xuan district, north-central Thanh Hoa province, has been opened to the public. Starting from the peak of Bu Mun Mountain, which is 1,000 metres above sea level, the waterfall flows down to a primary protected forest and divides into two smaller waterfalls, called Thanh Lam and Dong Quan, creating a magnificent landscape of large and small streams. The area also attracts visitors with its rich flora and fauna, including orchids, precious herbal medicine and wood, dozens of mammals and reptiles, and hundreds of birds and amphibians, including rare species such as leopard, bear, chamois, douc, black gibbon, and pheasant. The local food is also diversified, such as smoked buffalo, roasted chicken, grilled fish, snails, and vegetable soup.

    FLC Samson Beach & Golf Resort has recently been given the ‘five-star’ title by Vietnam Tourism Administration on October 31st, 2015. FLC Samson Beach & Golf Resort, covering 450 hectares, is the largest golf course - resort - hotel complex in the central region of Vietnam. The 18-hole FLC Samson Golf Links is the highlight of the complex.   • First river tours start in Thanh Hoa

    The Thanh Hoa Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has launched the first waterway tours on the Ma River, allowing tourists to enjoy the picturesque  landscapes along the riverbanks and visit historical sites. Tourists can visit several famous sites, such as Nguyet Vien village in Hoang Quang commune, which produced many illustrious students and scholars under the Confucian education system, Trang Quynh Temple (named after a legendary wit from the 18th century) and the well-known beach destination of Sam Son. Tours cost VND300,000 to 350,000 ($14 to 16).
