A new daily tour from Hanoi to the northern province of Phu Tho, the land of the legendary Hung Kings, has been launched recently. The tour includes a visit to the Hung Temple relic site, the Hung Kings Museum, Hung Lo Ancient Village, and Lai Len Temple. Visitors can enjoy local traditional Xoan singing, which was added to UNESCO's list of intangible cultural heritages of humanity last year. The tour is aimed at diversifying local tourism products for the purpose of turning the provincial capital Viet Tri into the city of festivals, according to the Phu Tho Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The Hung Kings Festival is held annually from the eighth to the eleventh day of the third lunar month (starting April 25 this year) and is in honour of the legendary founders of the nation. The main festival day has been a public holiday in Vietnam since 2007.

A pedestrian bridge across Dam Ca Lake in northern Phu Tho province has been opened to the public, providing both local people and tourists with a new sightseeing spot.

The bridge has a length of 178 meters and an average width of 4.5 meters, while a seven-story tower has been built in the middle of the bridge with an illuminated glass globe at the top. There will also be a network of decorative lights, synchronized with the architecture of both the bridge and the tower.

The new bridge is expected to contribute to making Phu Tho, home of the Temple for the Hung Kings - the first emperors of Vietnam - greener and more beautiful, friendly, and hospitable.
