    A national wildlife conservation park will soon be built in the northern province of Ninh Binh, according to a project recently approved by the government. The park will be located on an area of 1,155 ha in Ky Phu and Phu Long communes in Nho Quan district at a total cost of around VND7,368 billion ($345 million), aiming to rescue, conserve, store and develop the sources of genes of wild animal species, especially those that are endangered, rare and precious. The park will initially help rescue, preserve, and develop about 3,000 animals belonging to 250 different species. It will also serve scientific studies on wildlife, contribute to scientific and environmental training, and support efforts to combine environmental education and ecological tourism.

    The four-star standard The Reed Hotel in northern Ninh Binh province has opened it doors. Located on a spacious 1.6 hectares, the hotel, together with The Aria Palace, is a complex offering various services such as accommodation, conferences, workshops and food. The Aria Palace includes two multifunction conference halls with a modern design and no columns and a seating capacity up to 1,500. Sound and lighting systems are the latest in technology, to ensure they meet all the requirements of any event.

    To meet the increasing tourism demand in northern Ninh Binh province, the Hai Au Aviation Joint Stock Company has revealed plans for a new flight tour shuttling tourists throughout the area and allowing them to see more from the air. Company officials said they are seeking an operating license to open new sightseeing tours to Cuc Phuong National Park, the Trang An scenic landscape complex, Ninh Binh city, and Yen Thang Lake. They will use a Cessna Grand Caravan EX aircraft with services to start as soon as the license is granted. Hai Au Aviation was the first to offer seaplane adventures in Vietnam and Indochina, from Hanoi to Halong Bay and from HCMC to Phan Thiet and, recently, in Danang.

    The Trang An scenic landscape complex in northern Ninh Binh province will be expanded under a recent government master plan. The total natural land area will span over 12,252 ha in Ninh Binh city, Tam Diep township, and the districts of Hoa Lu, Gia Vien, and Nho Quan, with half being the complex and the other half the surrounding area, sitting within 20 local communes and precincts. Trang An is home to around 500 flora species, 73 species of birds, and 41 species of other animals, with a diverse ecosystem and unique geological characteristics. It boasts several nationally-recognised sites, such as the Trang An ecotourism site and Hoa Lu, Vietnam’s capital in the 10th and 11th centuries. It also has many temples, pagodas, paddy fields, villages and sacred sites and was recognised by UNESCO as a Cultural and Natural World Heritage Site in 2014.
