JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort and Spa has recently opened its doors to the public, making it the first international luxury hotel brand on Kien Giang province’s Phu Quoc Island. As the latest resort designed by Bill Bensley, it offers a selection of 243 lavish rooms, suites, apartments and villas. At a 54 square metre minimum, the resort’s guestrooms provide generous space for indulgence. The design narrative is based on a mythical academy of learning, with each building on the premises modelled after an academic department. The emerald colour of the ocean paints a perfect backdrop to the palate on which the architecture thrives. The resort features three restaurants and contemporary bars. The Tempus Fugit (meaning ‘Time Flies’ in English) offers authentic Vietnamese cuisine, contemporary Japanese dishes, and classic French delights. The Red Rum is the beachside seafood grill, while The Pink Pearl serves exquisite Cantonese cuisine in a splendid beachfront mansion. And the Chemistry Bar offers delicious elixirs while guests admire beautiful Emerald Bay. Opening rates start from VND9,000,000 ($400) including breakfast for two and a daily VND1,100,000 ($50) resort credit. Visit: www.marriott.com.
