Quan ho (love duets) folk singing will be held on a boat every Saturday evening in its homeland of northern Bac Ninh province, aimed at popularising quan ho not only among local tourists but also foreigners. Performances will be staged on two lakes in front of the office of the Provincial Party Committee and People’s Council. Quan ho is an art form that combines various elements, including music, lyrics, and costumes, and features the distinctive culture of people in the region, formerly called Kinh Bac. It was recognised by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity in 2009.
