As is now the tradition, The Guide travelled to Vietnam’s major tourist destinations to see how the industry is performing.

Open since 1995 in the centre of HCMC, Hoa Vien Saigon Brauhaus is known as the place to experience Czech beer and cuisine and is also famous for its traditional brewery operations making Pilsen beer in-house, where guests can pour their own glasses from taps connected directly to kegs in the cellar

As is the custom, The Guide again visited a host of destinations and hotels and resorts this year to gain a sense of the state of Vietnam’s tourism industry.

  • Seaplane tours to take off in HCMC

Authorities in HCMC and Hai Au Aviation, the sole operator in Vietnam providing seaplane services, are working on opening flights that will allow tourists to take in the city from high above. Tourists will be able board the seaplane at Tan Son Nhat International Airport to enjoy an aerial sightseeing tour. The aircraft can land either on the Saigon River or in the outlying district of Can Gio, to give tourists the chance to explore the city. Last year Hai Au Aviation started seaplane services from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay and from HCMC to Phan Thiet.
