Taiwanese treat

Vietnam is the eighth country TenRen has a presence in, together with China, the US, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, and elsewhere.

The tea shop is decorated with modern and lively designs with rows of high seats or low tables arranged in a simple but artistic style.

Compared with other names, the menu at TenRen’s Tea is fairly small, with five main options: classic traditional tea, traditional milk tea, fresh milk latte tea, fresh tropical fruit tea, and cream floating on milk.

The best of the tea at TenRen’s is King’s Oolong 913, with a recipe that’s a closely-held secret at the tea shop. It may taste a little bitter at first but then turns cool. Tea is from VND38,000 a glass.

Open from 9am to 10pm.

WHENEVER SOMTUM IS MENTIONED IN HCMC, most people would think of the Thai restaurant Somtum Der Ho Chi Minh City, which serves Isan cuisine (with the north-eastern region of Thailand being ‘Isan’ in Sanskrit).
