Located down a small laneway off Dang Thai Mai Street, in the ‘Westerners’ district’ of Tay Ho, the simple Bep PAM, or PAM’s Kitchen, is a popular destination for artists and young people as well as expats who love the talent displayed by renowned Vietnamese pianist Pho An My in tickling the ivories and in cooking.

Diners can enjoy delicious dishes prepared by the artist herself, who is the head chef, the marketing manager, and also the entertainment at her own restaurant.

Should you visit late in the afternoon you may be lucky enough to enjoy Bún Ốc (noodles with snails) - the signature dish of Bep PAM - while listening to outstanding piano playing from one of the most talented pianists in Vietnam!

Far different from other restaurants in town, Bep PAM serves only a few traditional Vietnamese dishes, such as Bún ốc nóng / nguội (hot or cold noodles with snails), Xôi Khâu nhục (steamed glutinous white rice with braised pork), Dạ dày lợn hầm tiêu xanh (stewed pork stomach with green pepper and lemongrass), and Thịt trâu khô (dried buffalo meat) accompanied by Rượu Nếp cái hoa vàng (home-made glutinous wine rice). Other drinks include lemon and lemongrass juice, 33 beer, and iced tea.

Bep PAM’s dishes can also be ordered online. The Guide recommends you order a few hours ahead of eating and allow Pho An My to prepare your dishes with the same love and passion as she plays the piano! Prices are VND50,000 for bowl of hot noodles with snails, VND30,000 for cold noodles with snails, VND30,000 for a bowl of glutinous rice with braised pork and herbs, and VND300,000 for a pot of braised eel in a clay pot.
