HÔTEL du PARC HANOÏ provides 'Omotenashi' spirit from Japan

The newly-opened five-star HÔTEL du PARC HANOÏ, in the heart of Hanoi, provides a whole new Japanese service experience - the “Omotenashi” ritual.

Omotenashi is Japanese hospitality culture at its finest. “Omote” means public face (the image you wish to present to outsiders) and “Nashi” means nothing, but when the two words come together they mean “service from the bottom of the heart - honest, no hiding, no pretending”.

The origin of the Omotenashi spirit lies in the Japanese tea ceremony (sado), where the tea master faces the audience and makes tea right in front of them, open and clear. In the hospitality industry, the true meaning of Omotenashi goes a lot deeper. It’s not only an attitude that “the customer is always right” but also one to “entertain guests wholeheartedly” and “ensure that a great experience for guests is the most important task”.

It can be hard to describe in English, because it is something guests have to experience in Japan for themselves. In Vietnam, people can find the service ritual at HÔTEL du PARC HANOÏ.

Opened in January 2019, the charming hotel is operated by PLAN.DO.SEE - a global hospitality brand based in Japan. The brand is operating 17 properties, including three award-winning resorts in Japan, and 17 restaurants worldwide serving diverse cuisine (among them a one-star Michelin restaurant in New York). PLAN.DO.SEE also sets their mission as sharing Omotenashi - self-less service with a spirit of warmth and respect - with the world.

With the aim of becoming the most-loved hotel in Hanoi, HÔTEL du PARC HANOÏ strives to deliver the most memorable experience for any guest. Strategically located in the heart of historic Hanoi, the hotel is within walking distance of several historical precincts and city attractions, such as Thien Quang Lake, Thong Nhat Park, the city’s Old Quarter, and Hanoi Railway Station. After taking over the building from the previous owner, the hotel has undergone an enormous renovation, changing the entire look of the lobby, restaurants and bar, meeting rooms, accommodation, and other public areas.

The hotel offers 256 rooms, all spacious and with amazing views to green parks or beautiful lakes. Great comfort and tranquility await visitors in the grand lobby, with elegantly modern architecture. Yet, they will still find French touches in many little details, leaving them with a nostalgic feeling about the 1,000-year-old Vietnamese capital.

The hotel has a wide range of meeting spaces, from VIP rooms to larger places for conferences, mid-scale banquets, or big parties. All rooms are equipped with the modern technology to cater to every demand of guests. Visitors to the hotel will also experience the Omotenashi style of service at the hotel’s premium eateries such as Voyage, AZABU, and Le Salon.

HÔTEL du PARC HANOÏ promises to demonstrate the concept of Omotenashi to every one of its guests to the fullest extent.
