Full of enjoyment

The restaurant’s name, Khoai, in Vietnamese reflects a pleasant feeling of enjoyment. The restaurant is set up in a three-storey house decorated beautifully with large pictures on the walls featuring the landscapes of Nha Trang. Mrs Diep, the owner, who fell in love with the coastal city, decided to open Khoai to present its dishes in HCMC. She has travelled to Nha Trang many times to enjoy its cuisine and learned how to cook them from local people. ‘I would like to serve my guests Nha Trang dishes with their true flavour,’ she said. Her restaurant also offers new creations cooked from Nha Trang ingredients.

The menu features famous Nha Trang specialties such as bún cá (fish noodle soup), gỏi sứa (jellyfish salad), and bánh căn (grilled rice cakes with seafood). Khoai also offers a wide selection of Nha Trang seafood, including a raw fish salad and squid and scallop salad, BBQ dishes from special fish, shellfish and sea urchins from Nha Trang, and hot pots such as stingray and starfruit hot pot and dia fish hot pot. Grilled dishes include grilled snail with pepper salt, grilled pork served with crispy rice paper and vegetables, grilled beef cubes, and grilled baby pork ribs with chilli salt.
