Impressed and touched are among the emotions experienced by thousands of visitors to the spectacular live theatrical show “Hoi An Memories” in the ancient town in Vietnam’s central region. The show has been voted “The world’s most beautiful show” by hundreds of prestigious newspapers and was honored by being screened in New York’s Times Square.

As one of the new highlights on the journey to discover the Road of Heritage Sites in central Vietnam, Hoi An Memories made its official debut in March 2018 after more than two years of conceptualization and another two years of construction. It has welcomed a million visitors in the year since opening, confirming its increasing allure.

Hoi An Memories is a bridge connecting time and space, taking the audience through the ups and downs of Hoi An as a leading trading port in the region, linking East and West since the 1500s.

On an outdoor stage of 25,000 sq m, Hoi An Memories depicts Vietnam through an historical and cultural lens with impressive visual performances, modern staging techniques, and state-of-the-art lighting and audio effects, with five dramatic performances acted out by nearly 500 professional thespians.

The audience can get to know the life and culture of Hoi An people long ago, when fisherman started to build houses and settle down in the area with a strong exchange with the Champa culture before turning into a bustle trading port from the 17th to 19th centuries and a charming UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site today.

After 20 years of recognition from UNESCO, Hoi An ancient town has made a memorable impression on international visitors through its history and culture, bolstered by Hoi An Memories, which represents the pride of Vietnamese culture reaching out to the world.

Hoi An Memories is held at the Hoi An Impression Park on an island in the middle of the Thu Bon River. The show is performed every night except for Tuesday, starting from 7.30pm, with tickets ranging from VND600,000 to VND900,000 ($23 to $39).
