A fairly recent addition to Hanoi’s dining scene, SunKat’s Burger restaurant is a fine example of the ‘daily homemade’ style and boasts reasonable prices.

A good weekday lunch set costs around VND150,000, including one cheddar cheese burger with NZ/Ozzi grass fed beef, one small portion of French fries cooked with garlic and fresh rosemary, coleslaw, and a glass of freshly squeezed juice of the diner’s choice.

Recently founded by three friends from Vietnam, the US and Italy, the fast food hub with a factory décor serves freshly made burgers for lunch and dinner. Just come in, take a seat, and your hot burger and fries will be prepared right in the kitchen and then served. The restaurant has recently introduced ten new burgers, including chicken teriyaki, salmon, and veggie.

Other SunKet’s specialties include Italian coffee, which is freshly prepared in front of you by Dani from Italy, and chilled Baretts craft beer and Italian gelato in various flavours.

The small restaurant can only serve around 25 people at a time in its main dining area, while its outdoor area can seat five or six. It’s bar also serves draught beer and wine.

The restaurant is located away from the bustling city centre, some 150 metres along Yen Phu Street from the Thang Loi Hotel in the West Lake area. Reservations are highly recommended.

Open from 11am to 2 pm and 6pm to 10 pm daily. Breakfast will be served soon.
