Ideally located in the centre of the city, the size of Hiep Yen Café makes it look more like a restaurant, while the trees in the garden-style house provide respite from the sun. As soon as you enter you’ll feel like you’re in China, given its design of red lanterns and a small fish pond. From the second floor, guests have a nice view outside. Its menu is colourful and diverse, with smoothies, juices, cocktails and some strange mixed drinks whose contents are hard to guess based just on their name, so you’d best ask the staff. The service can be a touch slow when packed in the evenings with young students, workmates, and friends, creating a boisterous atmosphere. Prices are good, starting from just VND20,000.
