Binh Thuan aims to become national sea tourism-sports centre
The People’s Committee of the south-central province of Binh Thuan has issued a plan to boost tourism to 2020, aiming to make it a spearhead sector of the province and turning the locality into a national sea tourism and sports centre. It has pursued an ambitious plan to make Mui Ne a national tourism site, Phu Quy Island a national destination, and Phan Thiet city an urban tourism area. The province is blessed with a 200-km coastline and favourable conditions for tourism development and it has effectively tapped its advantages for sea sports and festivals. In 2017 it aims to welcome 5 million visitors.
