  • Eco-friendly tours in Tram Chim National Park

A green sightseeing tour has been launched at Tram Chim National Park in the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap. Visitors can take the 12-km long trip, including four km on land and eight km on water, by electric car and a solar-powered boat, in just 35 minutes. The electric cars and solar-powered boats run at a speed of 30 km/h and 15 km/h, respectively, and do not create any noise and so have no effect on the local wildlife, especially birds. Located in Tam Nong district, Tram Chim, a world Ramsar site (wetlands of international importance), is home to over 100 species of plants, 100 species of vertebrate animals, 40 species of fish, and nearly 200 types of water birds, of which 15 are on the endangered list. Many bird species in the park have been listed as endangered and rare, such as Big Cormorants, Painted Storks, Lesser Adjutants, and Sarus Cranes. It also has abundant flora, with over 130 species of vascular plants.
