The country has gained its own fame for the delightful culinary art that combines many cultures of neighboring countries such as India, Indonesia, Myanmar and China. Meticulously fusing the elements of several Southeast Asian tastes, this gastronomic culture embraces harmonious blends of herbs, spices and fresh ingredients with well-balanced combination of spicy, sour, sweet and bitter flavors.

From 22 May to 4 June, well-known Thai Chef Professor Montri with his hand-picked ingredients and finest recipes will visit Hanoi to tantalize the taste buds of the most demanding palates.

Chef Montri has a rich experience on cooking in many Thai restaurants all over the world. The chef and his colleagues also received many prestigious awards in the profession such as: The best Bangkok restaurant in 2007, The best Thai restaurant in Roseville, California, USA in 2016. Recently, he has been in charge of the Thai kitchen of Smooth Curry Restaurant at the 5-star hotel of The Athénée, Bangkok, Thailand.

Through the two weeks of Thai food Festival at Oven D’or Restaurant, Sheraton Hanoi Hotel, guests will have chance to discover the gastronomy of the ‘Country of Smiles’ by its traditional specialties such as Chor Muang, Tom Kha Gai, Tom Yam Goong, Mango Sticky rice and the list goes on.

In particular, chef Montri will bring special spices from Bangkok by himself to cook Thai curry dishes that are guaranteed to conquer the most fastidious diners!

Price starts from VND720,000 ($32) per person for lunch buffet; from VND1,350,000 ($62) per person for dinner buffet and VND1,250,000 ($57) per person for Sunday lunch.
