"Peruvian Culinary Days 2018"

Sheraton Hanoi Hotel in conjunction with the Peruvian Embassy to organize the "Peruvian Culinary Days 2018" on the occasion of the 197th National Day of the Republic of Peru (1821-2018)

The gastronomic event will take place from 9-11 November, 2018 at Oven D'or restaurant with the participation of guest chef Maria Rosa Vasquez Chavez.

Peru is much more than this culturally and archaeologically. But, most surprising, Peru is an astonishingly improbable fusion of ethnic cuisines that is only today becoming known around the world.

"Peruvian Culinary Days 2018"

Peruvian cuisine reflects local practices and ingredients—including influences from the indigenous population including the Inca and cuisines brought in with immigrants from Europe (Spanish cuisine, Italian cuisine, German cuisine), Asia (Chinese cuisine and Japanese cuisine) and West Africa. Without the familiar ingredients from their home countries, immigrants modified their traditional cuisines by using ingredients available in Peru. The four traditional staples of Peruvian cuisine are corn, potatoes and other tubers, Amaranthaceaes (quinoa, kañiwa and kiwicha) and legumes (beans and lupins).

Chef María has travelled around the world representing Peruvian cuisine in several high-profile events in Asia. She also travelled to teach Peruvian gastronomy master classes, customised classes, free courses and workshops for the general public. She has been chef collaborator in writing the cookbooks "Book of the Potato" as well as "The 100 Best Recipes of Peruvian Cuisine".

Graduated from the French gastronomy school Le Cordon Bleu, with extensive culinary experience, chef María has selected as the "Peruvian Cuisine Ambassador" to promote her farther nation art of cooking in the Asia-Pacific region. This is the third time María has come to Vietnam to attend the culinary festival, introduce and convey love of Peruvian cuisine to guests at Sheraton Hanoi Hotel.

Throughout the "Peruvian Culinary Days 2018", guests will enjoy special Peruvian diches of ceviche fish salad, seafood soup, potato pancakes, quinoa pancakes, pisco and cocktail ect.

Lunch Buffet: VND620,000 ++ per meal
