    Bilingual sketch book on Hanoi released

    A Vietnamese and English-language book featuring more than 200 sketches of Hanoi’s streets along with emotional essays about the capital has been published.

    Entitled “Pho Co Ha Noi - Ky Hoa va Hoi Uc” (Hanoi’s Old Quarter - Sketches & Memories), the book is a collection of works from 60 authors, writers, architects, and amateur and professional painters of the Urban Sketchers Hanoi group. Pictures were drawn using various materials such as water colors, pencils, and wax, creating an interesting look at the beauty of Hanoi from different artists.

    Established in 2016 and with nearly 4,000 members, the Urban Sketchers Hanoi group has hosted various painting events to snap images of Hanoi, especially old lifestyles and old buildings that are gradually disappearing in the process of urbanization.
