    Hanoi International Heritage Marathon

    Hanoi International Heritage Marathon is the first times through the Hanoi Old Quarter is officially opened this weekend.

    This is also the first ever link connecting three sacred heritages of Hanoi: Hoan Kiem Lake – Red River and West Lake. Organized by Nguoi dai bieu Nhan dan Newspaper, DHA Limited, Vietnam Prosperity Bank (VPBank) and other related organizations, Hanoi International Heritage Marathon is sure to be an exciting experience for any athlete, as every check point will not only be a key achievement, but also a place where athletes will enjoy the unique culture of the players.

    The International Heritage Marathon 2018 will be taken placed on Sunday, October 21, 2018 with the participation of more than 2,000 professional and semi-professional athletes from 50 countries and territories.

    Starting from Ly Thai To Park, the running distances are 42km, 21km, 10km and 5km. The longest run will pass through the most beautiful streets and landmarks in Hanoi such as Ba Trieu Street, Thuyen Quang Lake, West Lake and Red River. There will be 10 prizes for 42km and 21km running distances, three prizes for 10km and other three prizes for 5km with the total prize value of up to VND500 million.

    The purpose of the Marathon is to encourage and develop the sport activity in a sustainable and broad way for all ages and classes of Vietnamese people, develop the professional, semi-professional and amateur sports activity to improve the health and stature of the Vietnamese people as well as enhance the image of Hanoi to the international travelers to the capital.
