  • The FLC Group has announced the launch of Bamboo Airways

    The FLC Group has announced the launch of Bamboo Airways, operating Airbus A321neo aircraft. The airline is set to start operations in the fourth quarter of this year with aircraft leased from third parties before taking delivery of the aircraft from Airbus. It will focus on international routes linking key Asian countries such as Japan, South Korea, China, Singapore, Thailand and elsewhere with tourist destinations in Vietnam, including Quy Nhon, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Nha Trang, and others. It will expand its services to the US and Europe in the long term. Domestic flights connecting local destinations such as Thanh Hoa - Quy Nhon, Thanh Hoa - Phu Quoc Island, and Thanh Hoa - Nha Trang will also be introduced. According to airline leaders, Bamboo Airways will offer attractive fares that are a touch more expensive than low-cost carriers but with five-star services.

    FLC Group has announced the inauguration of Bamboo Airways. The Airways will be operated with A321neo aircrafts offered by Airbus. The group had already completed the deposit and initial payment of the contract, fulfilling the pre-condition for handing over the 24 aircraft by 2021. Bamboo Airways is set to start operations in fourth quarter of 2018 with aircraft on lease from the third-party  before taking delivery of the aircrafts from Airbus.

    The airline’s logo, according to Mr. Dang Tat Thang, general director of the airline will be a stylised symbol of bamboo leaves and stems. ‘The bamboo tree symbolises the Vietnamese people’s desire to fly high, improving the country’s image in the international arena,’ said Thang.

    The logo was designed by Japanese LIFT Strategic Design Company, which has designed the logos of many global airline brands, including China Airlines, Philippines Airlines, Oasis HongKong and Orbis International.

    Once being operated, the airway firm will focus on international routes linking important Northeast Asian territories such as Japan, Korea, China, Singapore, Thailand and elsewhere  to tourist destinations in Vietnam such as Quy Nhon, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Nha Trang and others.  In the long term, it will expand service to the US and Europe.

    In addition, the domestic flights which is connecting local destinations such as Thanh Hoa - Quy Nhon, Thanh Hoa - Phu Quoc, Thanh Hoa - Nha Trang will also be introduced. According to the airline leaders, Bamboo Airways will offer very attractive fares, more expensive than low-cost carriers, but offers 5-star service to meet the demands of every segment.
