Bach Dang Wharf to become tourism harbour

The historic site of Bach Dang Wharf in HCMC will become a central tourism pier, according to the city’s plan on developing waterway tourism in the 2017-2020 period. Bach Dang Wharf is located on the Saigon River in the centre of District 1, near the Monument of General Tran Hung Dao which was built on Ton Duc Thang Street to commemorate the glorious victory against the Yuanmeng invaders in 1288 on the Bach Dang River. Together with Nha Rong Wharf and the headquarters of Saigon Port, its special architecture forms a tourist triangle in the city. It consists of a wharf, a park, floating restaurants and convenient services, which attract many local people and tourists. When the city lights up, Bach Dang Wharf looks brilliant and bustles with people flocking to the park to enjoy the fresh air and breeze. Colourful boats are ready to help tourists discover the city at night on the river.
