Train added to Hanoi - Lao Cai route

The Hanoi Railway Transport JSC has added an additional trip on the Hanoi - Lao Cai route every Friday night to meet increasing demand from tourists to visit Sapa. The new service departs Hanoi at 10.30pm and arrives in Lao Cai at 6.30am. Tickets range among VND200,000 ...+

The Hanoi Railway Transport JSC has added an additional trip on the Hanoi - Lao Cai route every Friday night to meet increasing demand from tourists to visit Sapa. The new service departs Hanoi at 10.30pm and arrives in Lao Cai at 6.30am. Tickets range among VND200,000 to 400,000 ($9 to $17.5). Accompanying bus services from Lao Cai to Sapa will also be introduced. There are now four trains running from Hanoi to Lao Cai and return, carrying 400 to 500 passengers and even double that figure on weekends.

Meliá Hotels International has announced the signing of three new properties in HCMC - Meliá Saigon Central, INNSIDE Saigon Central, and INNSIDE Saigon Mariamman - bringing the number of current and future properties in Vietnam to ten. Located on the banks of the Saigon River, Meliá Saigon Central will feature 75 rooms in the first phase and a total of 159 rooms upon completion, and boasts a privileged location. INNSIDE Saigon Central will be the first property to open in 2018. INNSIDE Saigon Mariamman, meanwhile, will open in 2020 after a renovation of the current Lavender Boutique hotel to bring it up to INNSIDE standards. Both properties are conveniently located in the heart of the bustling city centre, close to the city’s must-see markets, nightlife, and shopping malls.
